Comments: In 1522, Hernán Cortés conquered Cuernavaca, where he built a fortress-like palace. Cortés had his palace built in 1530-1532, possibly with a major architect imported by him from Santo Domingo. Cuernavaca, however, is famous for much more than just Cortés conquest. Follow this photo tour to discover several other significant aspects that bear on Mexican and Latin American humanities.
Curriculum Note: Santa Fe College offers a summer study abroad program in Cuernavaca.
