Comments: In 1929, Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo married; he was expelled from the Mexican Communist Party because he had accepted the directorship of the Academia de San Carlos; his health broke down; he declared his support for Leon Trotsky's politics; and he painted murals in the Palacio de Cortés in Cuernavaca.
