Comments: Here is another example of what was mentioned about María Izquierdo's works earlier (<= Page #21). Also, for a works of hers in the 1940s, see: => Page #31. While her politics were strongly supportive of the left, nevertheless, the themes of her art were, at times, more religious (throughout her life she supported her mother's and grandmother's Catholic mores) or more focused on daily life. This still life, then, cannot be more illustrative of the latter theme.
