Antigua (7)

Comments: The professor-photographer is standing just outside the cathedral's main entrance, the one that is used only for Jubilee events, such as, for example, the visit from the Pope or at Easter. He is looking across the street toward the Parque Central, which, as you know, is a standard Spanish urban design feature that Spain laid out throughout the Americas beginning in the Renaissance. During the colonial period, this plaza mayor was the site of public events such as market days, fiestas, bullfights, military parades, and executions.
