Comments: Here you see Avilés' main shopping street in the historical center. Of course, the city is expanding west with new high rise business and apartment or condominiums. As you see here, many old streets throughout Spain are being converted into pedestrian walkways, which phenomenon, it seems, not only does not hurt streetside businesses and shops, but rather enables them to prosper.
