Comment: It is said that Doña Carmen Beatriz López Portillo lives in the historical district on this street, which has been remodelled for foot traffic only. She is the President (rectora) of the Universidad del Claustra de Sor Juana (see: <= Sor Juana Notes and <= Convento de Santa Paula and Universidad del Claustro de Sor Juana, Mexico City), and she is the daughter of José López Portillo y Pacheco (1920 – 2004), who was the President of Mexico from 1976 to 1982.
