Havana (18)

Comments: This museum was begun in 1913, but this new building was constructed in 1954. The architectural design is known as "Rationalist," with a dominance of geometric lines, as you see here and inside. The Cuban architect was Rodríguez Pichardo. This building houses Cuban art from the 18th century to the 21st century. Another building houses international art.
Humanities topic: Compare and contrast this museum to the one at your college or university.
