Comments: Here you see a giant tourist hotel in Petrópolis. The style you see is not Luso-Brazilian. Why? Well, Pedro II encouraged German farmers from the Rhine River region to settle on the Emperor's lands around Petrópolis. Hence, this pseudo-Alpine or Rhinelandish style.
