Comment: This is a view of one side of the former royal Summer Palace. Nowadays it is the Museu Imperial, and it remains one of Brazil's most popular museums. It features floors made out of brazilwood and jacaranda wood, and it houses artifacts and objets d'art collected by Pedro II. The museum also has a spectacular display of the crown jewels, which includes a frame with 77 pearls and 639 diamonds.
