Comments: Before we focus on the building in the middle (see the next page: => Montevideo #10), take a quick look at this "average" scene in old Montevideo. The low building on the left and the buildings in the middle and on the right are from the 19th century, while the ten-story building on the left is a typical Modern architecture building from the second half of the 20th century. So, why would the building in the middle—the professor-photographer's objective—be the focal point of this image in a standard middle class neighborhood? Hint: the topic is related to a field of the humanities other than architecture.
