Comments: Near the center of this photo you see a woman illuminated by sunlight coming through a window. I asked myself why this and other women--Peruvian and foreign women--tended to walk alone, in solitude, through the ruins. By contrast, men visitors (except for the professor-photographer) toured the site in groups. What was going on?
