Comments: To the right of the Cathedral's main entrance is a small side-chapel, which is dedicated to Francisco Pizarro himself. Supposedly, part of Pizarro's skeleton lies in the sealed wooden coffin you see here. This funerary monument is in the baroque style.
Humanities questions: (A) What is the relationship between the Spanish conquest of Peru, Peru's governments, the indigenous Quechua and Aymará peoples in Peru, Roman Catholicism, and Pizarro's remains in their own private chapel in the National Cathedral? (B) What is the relationship between the above relationship and the humanities style in which this monument is displayed?
