Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (3)

Source: These images were taken by WTL at the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe) in Tepeyac, México.
Comments: Behind and a little below the high altar in the nave (behind the photographer) there is a passageway with moving walkways from which one can get this view of the original image of the Virgen de Guadalupe. It measures 1.22 m by 1.83 m. This image dates to the miracle of 1533 when it appeared on Juan Diego's cloak. The Virgen de Guadalupe is also called la Virgen Morena (the Brown Virgin) because of her dark features.
