Comments: In 1913, in this house, Frida Kahlo came down with polio, which affected her right leg. Because she later developed severe problems with her spine and her legs, it is also possible that she may also have suffered from the congenital disease of spina bifida. Despite these problems, during her childhood and youth she engaged in various sports including boxing!
