Comments: After visiting the Castillo de San Marcos, king Felipe VI went to St. Augustine's Government House, which is found on the western end of the Plaza de la Constitución. On the left you see the column honoring the short-lived Spanish (democratic and republican) Constitution of 1812. The crowd gathered to hear the king give a bilingual address at noon in English (his English is excellent for he got an M.A. degree in international affairs from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.) and Spanish.
