Comment: Here we see stylized flowers on the bottom, hatched borders on the side columns, and at the top seven circles above which are five human figures adorned with feathers. You already know what the Náhuatl word quetzal means, don't you? Here it is combined with xochitl, which means "flower."
Humanities Question: What, therefore, is the metaphorical meaning of the Xochiquetzal temple?
