Image: This outdoor scale model give us an idea of the relationship between legendary twin volcanos, Iztaccíhuatl (left) and Popcatépetl (right). For a description of the legend, see: => Cuernavaca #18.
Comments: In this model we can see in the snow-covered series of peaks on the left that one can image, starting on the far left, the head, breast, stomach, legs, and feet of a woman lying on her back. Then, with a fumarole of smoke and steam rising from the peak on the right, one can image the distraught Aztec lover Popo standing watch over his lady stretched out before him in prone position.
Additional images: For image of the volcano on the right, see: => Paso de Cortés and Popocatépetl.
