Tlatelolco (10e)

Comments: The tryptic panel behind the altar is clearly modern, but in its center we see a 16th century polychrome bas-relief sculpture of Santiago (St. James the Major). Above the three-panel retablo is a simple crucifix on the ancient stone wall. St. James is the patron saint of this church, and Santiago has been the patron saint of Spain for almost twelve hundred years.
