Image and Comments: Here you see the juxtaposition of tlatelolca ruins and modern Mexican architecture without seeing the intermediate cultural link from the Spanish colonial period. The skyscraper housed Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores). The Plaza de Tlatelolco is about one mile north of the Palacio de Bellas Artes in the core of the historical district in Mexico City.
