Translation: In the year of X Cane (1515), when the Castilians arrived, Cuauhtemoctzin was installed as the ruler (of Tlatelolco). (He was) the youngest and the last of the kings. He had already been reigning here in Tlatelolco for four years. During the period of the colonial viceroyalty the tlatelolca and tenochca nobles were given the neighborhood of Tlatelolco for their own.
Comment: Cuauhtemoctzin (i.e., Cuauhtémoc) was the son of Ahuizotl, the Aztec emperor/tlatoani, and a tlatelolca princess, Tilalcapatl.
