Pre-Inca and Inca Art (2)

Source: WTL course archives.
Art Object: Stirrup-spout terra cotta vessel from the Chavín culture (1200-600 BCE).
Comments: This small piece is less than a foot high. The Chavín culture covered a large area from northern Peru to near the area where Lima is now. Experts agree that it was a theocratic civilization that centered on settlements along rivers and the ocean coast. Chavín art features polished stone and polished cermanics with engraved designs on them, which, for the most part focused on men or animals. Often men and animals seem fused together or blended.
Humanities Question: Which of the Chavín characteristics mentioned in Pre-Inca Art #1 are seen in this terra cotta piece?
