Comments: (Gen.) Emiliano Zapata (1979 - 1919) is one of the three major leaders of the Mexican Revolution; he led the cause for the indigenous people south of Mexico City. Zapata was born in the village of Anenecuilco in the municipality of Ayala in the state of Morelos, Mexico (about 50 miles SE of Cuernavaca).
