Comments: On the wall opposite the one we just saw, we see this dramatic mural by Siqueiros. This one depicts the Spanish conquistadors' torture of Cuauhtémoc, the last, and heroic emperor of the Aztecs. The worst of the conquistadors did use attack dogs to threaten Amerindians during the first brutal years of the conquest. Here we see the mutilation and burning of the feet of Cuauhtémoc and his companion.
