Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (9)

Source: These images were taken by WTL at the Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe) in Tepeyac, México.
Comments: Descending from the hill on our way to a pond with two streams coming out of the hill, we come across this sign: "The ground you are trodding is holy, for Mary also trod on it when she appeared on this hill to Juan Diego. Keep walking with an attentive and joyful heart until you come to the fountain that symbolizes "the Offering" of Mexico to her Virgin. From the beginning of history and from Tepeyac there flow two rushing cascades, symbols of the brave Aztec Nation and the Spain of the missionaries, which unite meekly at the feet of Mary, Mother and Forger of the Mexican Homeland."
