Fresco: "Detroit Industry" on the north wall of the Detroit Institute of Arts (1933).
Comments: The hands at the top of this mural are giant hands grasping iron ore and coal. The figures on either side of the hands depict that "red" and "black" races. The large panel shows a steel mill with a blast furnace and molten steel. The rest of the panel is a detailed description of how a foundry works.
