Diego Rivera (9)

Source: WTL research files.
Painting: "Flower Day" (1925). Encaustic on canvas. This painting is now in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Comments: Diego Rivera resigns from the Communist Party in part following the advice of his friend and future major biography, Bertram Wolfe. The present painting is exhibited at the Pan-American exhibition at the Los Angeles Museum (same as the above, with later name change). Meantime, Orozco paints his mural called "Omniscience" at the famous building in Mexico City that is now Sanborn's Restaurant and which then was the Casa de los Azulejos.
