Image: The capilla churrigueresca (or Sagrario Metropolitano) alongside the Catedral Metropolitana (1749-1768). For additional views of this famous architectural façade, see: => Mexico City #6a; => Mexico City #6b; and => Mexico City #6c.
Comments: As you can see, this chapel was constructed on the right side of the Catedral Metropolitana in the 18th century. The architect is Lorenzo Rodríguez, who moved from Spain to Mexico in 1731. He is the architectect of the most ornate Churrigueresque style in the world, and this chapel is the most perfect example of this style.
