It says in Spanish: "A la lealtad de los alumnos del Heroico Colegio Militar quienes el 9 de febrero de 1913 custodiaron al ciudadano Presidente de la República Francisco I Madero en la marcha que, desde este lugar, efectuó al Palacio Nacional, en afirmación de su mandato institucional / 9 de febrero de 1973 / "Día de la Lealtad" / El Gobierno de la República". (To the loyalty of the cadets in the Heroic Military Academy who, on February 9, 1913, formed the honor guard for citizen and President of the Republic Francisco I.
