Comments: This view was taken inside the museum compound from one side of the front courtyard. (It is impossible to walk around the building.) The building material is volcanic rock with stylized pyramidal elements reminiscent of monumental Maya and Toltec architecture. The ceilings inside are decorated with mosaics. This is an artistic medium that Diego Rivera was exploring during the last years of his life.
