Templo Mayor (9)

Source: WTL© digital photograph (2009) taken on site at the Templo Mayor, Mexico City.
Comments: Here we see the shrine for Tláloc. Notice the Chac Mool in the center right. The painting on this Chac Mool is original! This figure dates from ca. 1375 and is the oldest artifact found in the Templo Mayor site.
Humanities Question: What power does Tláloc represent for the ancient (and modern?) people of Mesoamerica?
