Comment
: The professor-photographer platicó y regateó amablemente (chatted and bargained in a friendly way) with the two boys who were curious about who he was and why he was taking photographs. Like all Latin American children they were suspicious of a seemingly friendly foreigner, but the fact that his Spanish was native-level and his willingness to pay them for the privilege of taking their photographs made the encounter a very happy one. They were tough bargainers, though.
