Notes: In this rather bad photo we are looking from the Governor's Palace through the Ball Court toward the Quadrangle of the Nuns. In the following pages we shall approach this building slowly as architecture, but not, unfortunately, for the intricate design motifs on its various façades. In fact, on the next page, you will see that we are standing in a doorway in the Governor's Palace.
