Comments: Templo V is the most restored of all the pyramids at Tikal. It was built by lord Animal Skull in 600 to 650, which probably makes it the oldest of the city-state's major pyramids. In 2003, Spain's royal Princess Cristina came to Tikal and, at the site of Templo V presided over a VIP ceremony in which she announced that Spain's Ministry of Culture was underwriting the cost of restoring this pyramid.
