Comments: This modern scupture placed on the west side of the reception patio, called the Patio de la Paz (seen in the last image) is titled "La Paz" (Peace). It is placed precisely where the peace treaty was signed in 1996. At 11:00 a.m. every day a military guard takes the rose held in the left hand (on the right side) and throws it to a woman in the crowd, and then the soldier places a fresh rose in its place.
