Havana (6e)

Comment: This tanqueta (light tank) is on permanent display in the quadrangle. This one was used by Castro's Revolutionary forces when the entered Havana triumphantly on January 1, 1959. Tanquetas were developed in the 1920s to be faster and more maneuverable than heavy tanks, but they were soon abandoned by most combatants when they proved to be vulnerable to anti-tank weapons.
Humanities question: While the presence of ROTC units is standard on American college and university campuses, this old light tank on exhibit in the quadrangle of the UH seems a tad incongruous to the professor-photographer. What is your reaction to this photo and to the professor-photographer's moderate surprise or discomfort? (Forgetting this question, it's a good photo, right?)
