Havana (6a)

Comment: Here you see a perfect example of early twentieth century neoclassical architecture at the top of the entrance to the main campus building. Greek columns with Corinthian-style capitals. The entablature is the area above the columns; the entablature is made up of the architrave (i.e., the lintel immediately above the capitals), the frieze (the name of the University), and the cornice, and the triangular pediment (with Neoclassical curvilinear design and marble face of Alma Mater).
Humanities question: How does this entrance to this main building differ from the entrance to the administration building at your university?
