Playa Ancón (1)

Comments: This beach is a major tourist resort. It is about 10 miles south of Trinidad on the south coast of Cuba, and it has been called a "miniture Varadero," which is Cuba's most famous beach, near Havana. Playa Ancón has hotels, restaurants, bars, and water sports ... and great beaches, as you see here. If you can make out the sign on the top of this building, what you see is the Hotel Ancón itself.
Humanities questions: (A) While this tourist information may be interesting in itself, it's not precisely the kind of thing one would expect in a textbook on the humanities, is it? (B) The next two images in this photo series devised by the professor-photography-author will help answer the question in A. Not all aspects of Latin American humanities studies are dull or purely intellectual, right?
Humanities comparison: Compare and contrast this Cuban image with an old photo taken by the professor-photographer in Brazil: => Rio #8.
