Comments: In 1975 alone Lam created 300 ceramic works. The symbols in each of these works refer back to earlier works he created throughout his career. In this year he also began working on his autobiography, El nuevo Nuevo Mundo de Lam, which appeared in 1976. Lam died in 1982 just after completing his final works, the illustrations for his last book, L'Herbe sous les pavés, with a text by Jean-Dominique Rey.
