Comments: Vieira's favorite subject is the solitary human figure, as you see in the above canvas. Vieira often denounces the materialization of contemporary life. His works have a dramatic quality in which he often breaks up dark shadows with the eruption of absolutely original luminosidades cromáticas (p. 186) within contemporary Brazilian art.
