Painting: Milton Rodrigues Dacosta (Milton Dacosta; 1915 - 1988), "Studio Scene" (Cena de atelier).
Comments: Dacosta was a Brazilian artist who specialized in design, engraving, illustrations, and painting. In his early career, he painted nature scenes and traditional figurative works. In 1941 he began experimenting with Cubist innovations when painting the human figure. From 1950 onward he evolved toward geometrical abstract art. The example above shows the influence of Cubism.
