Comments: Since Brazil is a developing country, entrepreneurs look for new ways to make a profit. One such way has been to clearcut the Amazon's rich timber lands and replace them with cattle ranching. Ecologists inside and outside Brazil have been working hard to balance ecological preservation with land exploitation. Here you see one such cattle ranch on the banks of the Amazon River.
