SPANISH VERSION

¿Acaso es verdad que se vive en la tierra? ¡ay!
¿Acaso para siempre en la tierra?
Hasta las piedras finas se resquebrajan,
hasta el oro se destroza, hasta las plumas preciosas se desgarran.

¿Acaso para siempre en la tierra?
¡Sólo un breve instante aquí!

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Is it possible that we live on the earth? Ay!
Is it possible that it's forever on the earth?
Even precious stones break,
Even gold is destroyed, even fine feathers can be shredded.

Perhaps forever on the earth?
Only a brief moment here!
